What is Athenaeum?
Welcome to the Virtual Athenaeum website!
Athenaeum is a non-competitive Arts & Sciences showcase event hosted by the Barony of Madrone. It has become the largest arts and sciences display event in the Kingdom of An Tir and is highly anticipated every year.
Information about the in-person Athenaeum V taking place on July 9, 2022 can be found at https://baronyofmadrone.net/baronial-events/athenaeum/
Due to health concerns, the event was online June 26 & 27, 2021, called Virtual Athenaeum. In June of 2020, a similar virtual Athenaeum took place. This website is where you will find the exhibits written by the artists and artisans for those two years of Virtual Athenaeum, and the links and information used to make the event work.
Check out the amazing array of Exhibits via the tab above, where you can leave comments & questions for the exhibitors.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing the joy of Arts & Sciences in An Tir!
Welcome to Madrone
We are overjoyed at the success of our first Virtual Athenaeum which took place on July 18, 2020 and we look forward to more stops along the Road to Athenaeum in the months ahead. It was wonderful to see the works of artisans and join with you in positive community.
We especially look forward to welcoming the artisans of An Tir back to Athenaeum again in the summer of 2021.
— Enzio & Spike, Baron and Baroness of Madrone
